Why haven't I heard about Lotus before?
Simply put, we're a relatively small and not widely known brand. For those who do know us, we're considered among the best.
It takes time for a company to become popular and widespread. We're on our way.
Where can I physically try out a Lotus?
Lotus does not own any retail stores, but we are working with other resellers across the country (who have stores) to provide a hands-on experience with our computers. Our local reach is limited, but if you're near a Lotus Partner Store, you're invited to stop by! You can find your nearest store here.
How is the warranty backed?
The companies that make our components (like Intel, NVIDIA, AMD, Seagate, Gigabyte, and many others) back the components themselves for at least 3 years. If you ever need a replacement or repair under warranty, the original manufacturers can provide the replacement. Lotus makes it easy, and we're backed by the strength of Fortune 500 companies.
Are Lotus PCs made from foreign components?
It is simply impossible to manufactuer a computer made entirely of US-origin parts, much like cars or other complex products. In fact, it's virtually impossible to build computers with non-Chinese components. Our systems are a product of today's global market, where a single computer could be made from parts produced in a dozen factories, in several countries (including the USA). However, our PCs are still put together here. Maybe one day we can use more USA-made components, but for now we will choose the very best we can find.
So then, what does "assembled in the USA" mean?
Even though our computers are not made entirely from USA components, we do assemble or at least perfom final assembly on all of our desktops and notebooks here in the United States. This provides manufacturing jobs to Americans, with a similar impact as if the entire system and its components were made here. Furthermore, our customer service and tech support are based in-house, in the USA. We never have (and never will) outsource anything overseas, and we buy only from US-based warehouses. Additionally, we do try to buy USA-made products whenever possible. This includes items like cable ties, shipping tape, paper, and even the logo badge on every Lotus. |
How long has Lotus been around?
Lotus was founded in October 2007 in Orlando, Florida. Since then, we have steadily developed into a fast-growing, reputable company that's highly regarded by customers, suppliers, and partners alike.
Is Lotus a reliable company?
We're reliable and here to stay. We have been consistently profitable since the beginning, and we have experienced positive growth every quarter since 2007. That growth has been accelerating recently. We're here for the long term. Count on us!
What is the economic impact of Lotus?
We are a small company, so our economic footprint isn't large or deep; but our mission is. All jobs that are directly provided by Lotus are here in the United States. All our suppliers are based in the USA and have their warehouses here. Our distribution partners and support staff are right here in the USA. We even buy some basic office supplies and equipment for our assembly process from local stores like Habitat for Humany ReStore and Goodwill, in an effort to support our local economy and the less fortunate. Most of our money circulates within US borders. In essence, we're as USA-made and based as they come. It's very difficult to find a computer company with this kind of dedication to America and our economy.
Is Lotus environmentally friendly?
Lotus alone is extremely environmentally conscious. We don't have a large factory and our business involves assembling pre-made components, so our carbon emissions are essentially zero. Furthermore, we reuse shipping boxes and other materials as much as possible, and we recycle practically everything. We print only the essentials, and we ship with environmentally friendly carriers like FedEx. As for our supply chain, we do our best to minimize our environmental impact, including shipping from our suppliers in bulk to save multiple trips, and working with environmentally friendly suppliers and partners.
